TLDR: I would recommend the Buffy breeze duvet insert but not the sheet set or duvet cover. Well I wanted to post a review somewhere since Buffy won’t let me post a review to their website, which I find to be quite dishonest; their reviews are definitely curated to only show 5 star reviews. I was initially drawn in by the promise of cooling bedding and went forward with purchasing because of their sustainability goals. I ended up buying their duvet insert, duvet cover, & sheet set which I have used for a few months now. Duvet (Breeze) insert review: + positives: plush, more cooling than my feather duvet, ideal for spring & fall weather - negatives: still sleep hot & would probably be better off with a thin quit or blanket Duvet cover review: + positives: soft - negatives: improper sizing (too much material so it does not fit the insert; they say it will shrink but I have washed & dried it at least 5 times and it has not shrank a bit), extreme static when you take it out of the dryer Sheets review: + positives: soft - negatives: improper sizing (the top sheet is too small), elastic for fitted sheet does not work properly so it does not stay put during the night & bunches ups A LOT (Target sheets have better elastic), extreme static from dryer
Looking for a new place to buy bedding (preferably a local/small business?
I recently bought a king sized bed and now we need to buy new bedding! I want to support a local/small business in the Queen City but I haven’t really done any in-depth bed shopping before. The last one we bought was a white one with lavender accents for our queen bed that we got from Home Sense. Any recommendations for small businesses for a new bed set and sheets! I like a more simplistic style with whites or greys but I’m open to some color! I also want it to have pillow cases that match the bedding and preferably some accent pillows! I’ve attached a link for an idea of what I’m going for but I’m open to other designs, some color, etc. Any advice or recommendationsbedding would be super appreciated :)
Suggestions on how to furnish my room? (side table, dresser, succulents, bed sheets/throw pillows/blankets, ceiling light/fixture, lamps, accessories, etc). Would prefer to have it look simplistic/minimalist and modern, but I'm open to style suggestions

Summary: The best medium-firm mattress that money can buy. Highly recommend. The only complaint was my sheets were 3-weeks late. Great customer service. Disclaimer: I don’t know anyone at Hamuq; I do not have any financial interest in Hamuq; this is a completely independent review. I think it’s important to state that, as many review sites appear to be owned or sponsored by a mattress company. Only one 1-month so far, and I’ll plan to come back with a 90-day and 1-year update. Buying a mattress is a grueling decision for a person like me, endlessly googling reviews, wanting to get the best value. I’m hoping this review will is a public service announcement to help others. People sleeping in this bed:
Male, 220lb, 6’3”, 80% side sleeper / 20% back.
My wife is less than half my weight, a foot shorter than me, 100% side sleeper
Old bed:
Sealy Beautyrest, queen size, the bowling ball mattress.
A great bed, but ~13 years old. I wasn’t terribly happy with the mattress purchasing process, as we had the mattress exchanged 3 or 4 times due to defects (each new mattress was a different type). Some mattress showed up with tears in the seam or indented heavily towards the center of the bed. Therefore I am not loyal to any mattress stores and with COVID and a 100-day return policy I thought I would try a box mattress.
The old Beautyrest was a Medium firm. Very good at no motion transfer. Still comfortable feeling to this day, but a few seems are blown out and the sides are bowing out.
Selection Process:
I wanted a mattress with springs. All foam mattresses make me nervous -- how can it be as good? -- and worry about depressions that stay in place. That narrowed it down to Logan & Cove and Hamuq. From a few reviews out there, Hamuq sounded like it might be a bit stronger and a bit more firm.
“Canadian Steel” is nice, but doesn’t mean a lot of you don’t know the wire gauge vs. other mattresses.
100 day return policy is good. No risk. I heard they might not return the mattress if there are stains, so I bought the mattress protector to ensure this couldn’t happen to me.
Hamuq Order:
May 13 ordered. May 25 delivered. Toronto, Ontario (?) to Edmonton, Alberta.
Ordered everything because we’re going up a bed size:
King sized Hamuq.
King size pillow
King size duvet
King size sheets (didn’t show up, yet)
King size mattress protector
The sheets didn’t show up. Left a voice message, then went online and talked to someone live on their website that same day. They were “backed ordered and are going to send out to me on a priority basis”. Sheets showed up after 3-weeks. I wish Hamuq notified me of this prior, as I was at Ikea (after a 1.5 hour wait) the day prior, and would have bought extra sheets if I had known. We moved up from a queen to a king, so we needed new everything.
I bought the mattress protector after an online review mentioned Hamuq wouldn’t take back their mattress because it was stained. Plus I would have got one eventually anyway.
Check your gmail SPAM folder. Half of my correspondence (the receipts of order and other notifications went there).
The mattress delivery, unboxing, and first sleep:
Doorstep delivery was no problem. I received a notification email earlier that day.
The king-size mattress is incredibly heavy. I’m fairly strong but had a difficult time moving this upstairs. Mainly because of the awkward size, and the hand holes in the box ripped when I tried to wrestle it upstairs. My wife guided the front of the box while I pushed from below. ***I definitely recommend 2 people if you need to go upstairs.***
Unboxing was easy and the mattress quickly unravels and takes shape within minutes. I messaged Hamuq about how long I needed to wait before sleeping on. I assumed it would need a few days, but it looked good and they confirmed I could sleep on it the same day, but the mattress would need a few weeks to be fully uncompressed. I think Hamuq should include a sheet with instructions perhaps.
Very minimal off-gassing. So little that I wanted to sleep on it the first night, and we did.
*** That night I had the best sleep!!! **\*
Before, most mornings I would wake up a bit sore in my lower back and sometimes shoulders. I have attributed this to tight hamstrings and my weekend warrior / office worker lifestyle and getting a bit older (40 years old). However, I realize now, my old bed was the problem. I haven’t experienced this eureka moment before though, despite using other beds while on vacation or visiting family.
I don’t think I notice the effect of cooling gel, but it seems the same as my old bed for temperature. We also bought a new duvet from Costco, so it’s tough to tell. Too many variables changing at once for this. But it’s fine or the same as before. I do feel like the bed is a bit cooler once we put it on our BJÖRKSNÄS IKEA bedframe. The first 5 nights it was directly on the floor.
The mattress is definitely a medium firm, which I love. If you like soft mattresses, this isn’t the one for you… however, I would still probably buy it and get a mattress topper. Most nights when I get in I feel its a bit firm, but it seems like it cradles my body just right so that I have pressure spots. I’m not sure if that’s memory foam or the springs, but they figured it out. I have started sleeping more on my back again.
Appears to have strong edge support. While I don’t need to sleep near the edge anymore (yay for King size), it does hold up well if I go near the edge and when I get out of bed.
Duvet Cover:
The duvet cover is beyond soft. Like, call in the entire family to take turns petting it.
When we unboxed it, it did have small little white flakes, which looked like possibly from the manufacturing process. Perhaps the serger sewing machine leaves a little bit. Just shook it outside and washed it. Not a problem.
The Duvet cover always looks fresh on the bed. You can’t tell if it’s been freshly washed or used for a week and sat crumpled up on the floor all morning. Nice Zipper too.
Bed Sheets:
Feels like the same material as the Duvet cover.
My wife says it’s really soft and she loves them. I think they are probably comparable to a high thread count sheet from Costco, but they do fit the bed perfectly.
Pillow:
We only bought one. I can’t review until I try it a bit more. I am more of a memory foam with a neck support type guy, so I’m not sure I will be reviewing the pillow at all. It is well built and I tried last night for 80% of my sleep.
Mattress cover:
Covers the bed and definitely feels like a quality protector. Probably water-resistant or waterproof.
There is a tiny hole in one corner that I noticed after we washed the cover after 2 weeks of using it. It appears to be a manufacturing defect where the topper material slightly ran out, but the stitching is still really good and strong. I might contact them, but will likely just take it to a tailor after the 100 days. Or do nothing, I don’t think the hole will get any bigger.
Pros/Cons
Amazing mattress: feels great, quality is top-notch (stitching, good edge support, etc.)
The duvet cover is incredibly soft. It also always look fresh (no wrinkles).
Sheets look great, are soft, and fit perfectly.
No motion transfer between sleepers
Medium-firm mattress. Perfect for me.
Sheets were not included in the original shipment. It would have been nice to have known prior to shipment of the mattress.
Not sure if I’ll like the pillow. It is good, but I am more of a memory foam with neck support kind of guy. I’ll keep it because it will look good when I make the bed.
I wish there was some instructions as to when we can use the mattress. Turns out it’s right away, although it might take a few weeks to reach its final form.
Follow-up:
I’ll try to respond to all questions below. Or feel free to PM me.
Because of the high quality of everything, I will be saving up for a Hamuq duvet one day. I’ll review that if/when I buy one. I need to let the credit card cool off a bit first.
I haven’t bothered taking any pictures, because the mattress does look just as good as it does on the website.
It was 2am when Pot presented himself at Owen’s bed. It was a queen-size bed, which is rather a large bed for a 7-year-old boy. However, it did not look out of place in Owen’s considerable bedroom. The bed was decorated with a Harry Potter duvet, which complimented Owen’s Harry Potter pyjamas. Pot is a sprite. He is 2 feet tall with the same anatomy as a human. A constant grin stretched across his sharp facial features. His whole being appeared to be made of an icy translucent white light. It was as though he was being projected. “Wakey wakey,” whispered Pot directly into Owen’s ear. Most children would scream at the sight of a ghostly sprite within face-biting distance, but not Owen. Here is a child that has spent the entirety of his seven years within his own head. A head that contains magic, mythical creatures and all manner of fantasy. This is a child who needs to be called at least three times by his mother before his focus leaves the world of fantasy. A child who received the magic set he had craved for Christmas. As an only child of affluent parents, he got most of the presents he wanted. This wasn’t some high-street rubbish, this was the best magic set that a father, desperate to please, could find after several weeks of searching. He went on to perform the magic. Of course, such a child has no interest in instructions so his parents were required to look away as Owen made the coin ‘magically’ disappear. “Child, I’m looking for a skilled warrior to help me in my quest to uphold the good and vanquish the bad. Do you know of such a warrior?” said Pot. Owen managed to lift an eye lid. “Aye. I could be a warrior. I know kung fu.” The grin across Pot’s face stretched implausibly further. “You’re amazing. I could tell from the moment I saw you that you have the potential to be a great hero.” Owen lifted his head. His cheek was connected to his pillow by a string of saliva. He managed to lift the second eyelid. “Who are you?” “Great question. I am Pot. The Sprite. I fight on the side of goodness but I cannot do it on my own. I need the help of a great hero such as yourself.” Owen managed to get himself completely upright. He started to feel the chill and so stretched for his comfy grey dressing gown. When Owen pulled the hood over his head it made him look like a wizard with long grey locks, which covered his own shaggy tussled blonde hair. Owen started life with blonde hair. If he was like the other men in his family, Owen was around a year away from his hair darkening and settling into mousy maturity. He turned on the light, which illuminated his loft-converted bedroom. It was the largest bedroom in the house. It was situated on the other side of the house to his parents, which was beneficial for his mother and father as they couldn’t hear his yells as he played with his toys, of which there were many in all areas of the room. The walls were decorated with space-themed wallpaper but you couldn’t see much of it as it was covered with movie posters. Owen had a good look at Pot. He stretched out to shake Pot’s hand. Pot moved backwards just as Owen’s hand reached Pot’s fingers. Owen’s fingers passed straight through Pot’s fingertips as if they were a hologram. “Are you magic?” asked Owen. “Another great question, young adventurer. I am indeed magic. I believe you are magic too. In a way. And I believe you have the necessary characteristics required to defeat the agents of evil. There is one such monster present here tonight. Are you brave enough to help me defeat this beast?” Owen straightened himself and tied the belt on his dressing gown before saying, “Let’s do it.” “The creature we must defeat is a grizzly bear. Each monster has a weak point that we must exploit. This monster is particularly fierce…” Pot noticed that Owen was fidgeting and wiping his clammy palms on his dressing gown. “You’re not scared, are you?” “No. I want to fight. It’s my destiny!” “Wow! You’re a natural. I’m very impressed. The grizzly’s weak point is being confronted by his own reflection.” Without hesitation, Owen said, “I know what we can use! There’s a mirror on my wall.” “Fantastic idea, but do you think it will work?” “Yes,” said Owen and without having a clue, “it will absolutely work.” Owen dangerously climbed on top of three toy boxes that he had stacked and gently removed the mirror from the picture hooks that were embedded in the wall. He was doing so well. He reverse stepped down from the boxes but just as he was going to place the mirror against the wall it slipped from his grasp. The frame hit the floor. Cracks spread up the mirror on impact. To stop it from clattering on the floor and waking his parents, Owen dived at the falling mirror and cushioned the fall with his hands. Large shards of mirror fell out of the frame. Owen carefully withdrew his left hand. It was unhurt. He then withdrew his right hand to discover it was spurting out blood. Shock started at his feet and raised like a wave throughout his body. “Let me look at that brave lad,” said Pot. Owen stretched out his arm and pointed his bloody fingers towards Pot. He turned his head away. Tears surfaced in his eyes as he suppressed his wails. Owen felt a sensation like no other he had felt before. His hand felt moist and warm, hot even, but not painfully so. Owen managed to turn his head and face his outstretched arm. In disbelief, he brought his hand close to his face. The blood had gone. “Not so bad after all. Warrior,” said Pot. Owen took his focus away from his formerly injured hand and squinted his eyes in the direction of Pot. He looked different. It was as if he was a whiter white. As if he had gone up on the scale of whites at a fancy paint manufacturer. Farrow and Ball would say he had gone from “strong white” to “Wimborne white”. “Get the mirror ready. Hold it out in front of you,” said Pot as he placed his hands on the bedding. Owen did as he was told. He placed one of his socks over his hand and picked up a shard. He began to feel nerves. “In 3, 2…” Owen noticed that Pot was somehow now able to clutch the material of the bedding. He also began to wonder how a grizzly bear could fit under the bed. “1!” Pot drew back the bedding. Owen winced with his sight partly obscured by the shard of mirror that he held outstretched in front of him as if it were a shield. He glanced with one eye but couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It was his Winnie-the-Pooh soft toy, which he hadn’t seen for so long that he had forgotten that he ever had it. Owen looked at Pot to see if this was some sort of joke. For the first time Pot’s face was not adorned with a grin. He looked serious. Scared even. He started to realise that this was some sort of game that Pot had set up. He had a choice: confront Pot and say that this was just an old Winnie-the-Pooh toy; or play along and battle Winnie as if he was a real grizzly. Only one of those choices would lead to fun. “Charge,” whispered Owen as he lunged towards the stuffed toy bear. He wrestled with the bear. Rolling around on the carpet with the toy animal clutched in his arms. He rolled this way and that while trying to keep an eye on the sprite to gauge if he was impressed. “Careful, stay away from his jaws,” advised Pot. Owen wrestled some more before kicking away Winnie. The bear landed in a seated position. Owen brought the shard of broken mirror up to the bear’s eyes. “Shield your eyes,” said Pot. Both Owen and Pot covered their eyes with their arms. They froze in that position for a few seconds and then in unison looked up at the bear. Winnie remained unanimated. Pot’s enormous grin had returned. “That was amazing.” Owen crawled over to Winnie. He carefully lifted the bear’s right arm. He let go. It flopped down by his side. “He’s dead.” “You truly are fulfilling your potential as a great soldier. You did it.” “Is that it? Have we defeated evil?” “Well… we have defeated that one evil monster.” “There’s more?” asked Owen. “You have probably had enough adventures for one evening.” “No. I can battle on. I have stamina.” “Well there is one more monster nearby but we would need to lasso it like a cowboy capturing a wild stallion. And in order to create a lasso we need rope and I just don’t think a 7-year-old boy would have a rope in his bedroom.” Owen scanned the bedroom in the hope of seeing some rope. He couldn’t. “Perhaps we fashion a lasso,” said Pot. Owen looked around. “Could we cut up the curtain and use the fabric?” asked Owen. “Although, it is of course a great idea, we just don’t have the time. We need something that is already a long rope type piece of fabric.” Pot looked towards Owen midriff. “I’ve got it. Let’s use my dressing gown belt.” “Warrior lad, you are a genius. I’m very impressed.” Pot explained to Owen how to make the lasso in great detail. He told Owen how to place into an ‘s’ shape and then pinch and wrap the rope into shape. He pulled it tight as instructed. “Tell me about the monster,” said Owen. “Look over there. He is on top of the wardrobe.” Owen looked over and knew straight away that the sprite was gesturing to the Buckaroo mule. Owen did not have an inkling where the mule’s box was, or indeed any of the other contents of the box such as the saddle or the small plastic lamp that you dangled from the saddle while avoiding the buck. “He is a violent and very powerful beast. Although you have shown great strength, it is going to be very difficult for a boy of your age to out-muscle the monster. I suggest you secure one end of the lasso.” Doing as he was told, Owen placed a chair atop his bed, which he proceeded to climb. He precariously bobbed around on top of the chair as he unscrewed the star-decorated light shade and attached the belt loop, which he had been instructed to make, to the light fitting. He pulled it tight. Pot was clearly pleased with Owen’s effort. “Now, we only have one attempt to capture the awful beast, so you must test the lasso. Put the loop over your head and down around your neck.” Owen obliged. “Pull it tighter… Tighter still… Tighter...” As the boy had been tricked to tie the noose tight enough around his neck, the malevolent sprite mustered all his might to push the chair off the bed, leaving the boy dangling and helpless. As Owen kicked out his legs in all directions, Pot assumed the lotus position beneath the child. Pot began chanting. Owen tried to scream for help but he couldn’t force any sounds out of his mouth. He was confused and couldn’t understand. At the moment of Owen’s demise, the light that filled Pot’s being drifted upwards leaving his small remains in a heap, a bit like the leftovers from a snake when it sheds its skin. The cool white light entered the boy’s deceased body. The boy’s eyes opened. He lifted his arms and grabbed the light fitting. He was able to exert enough strength to lift his body in the air to stop the strangulation. He unscrewed the light fitting and fell backwards onto the bed. The boy mostly had the same appearance as he did before his untimely death. Except he now had a slight ungodly glow about him and a grin that seemed unhealthily large. The boy sat up. He loosened and then took the belt from around his neck. He chuckled as he threw the belt towards the inanimate plastic Buckaroo mule. He stood, took off his dressing gown and straightened his pyjamas. He put on a pair slippers. He bent down and picked up the pointiest bit of broken mirror that he could see. He walked over to the bedroom door and opened it. In a perfect imitation of Owen, he shouted as if in distress. “Mommy!”
[FINDS] MEGA list of winter finds: everything you need to stay cosy - Taobao and AE
Hi ladies, like most here I've done my fair share of shopping (and then some) during 11.11 and black friday. Here are some finds I've come across while compiling my latest hauls. I haven't bought anything from this list unless stated otherwise, so I can't comment on quality or accuracy. Make sure to check reviews and/or use the help of an agent to check if something is branded. Due to the table formatting, you might have to scroll to the side to view the whole text if you're on mobile. Happy shopping!
Shop with Burberry scarves, shawls and other brands. This shop has been reviewed here and on /fashionreps a few times, I've purchased the lightweight Burberry scarf from them and am happy with it, not sure if it's really 100% cashmere, but it feels high quality and the fabric feels silky.
I have a white down comforter which is 90x98 inches (says queen-size), bought it from Costco. I want to put a black duvet cover on it. What size duvet cover should I use? I could not find a black duvet cover that was 90"x98". Thanks in advance!
Resentment towards ex rises once in a while still and can't seem to stop it from popping up.
I was with my ex for almost two years. In that time, I graduated, found a job, moved out, and traveled abroad for school and work for extended periods, twice. In that time, he stayed at his part time job, failed several classes due to his parents' divorce, and started staying at my new place half the time with me. The resentment started once I moved out. Some background information: he did not contribute or offer to contribute to rent/utilities until I asked him to do so, and when he did, it was about 1/10th of the cost, due to our wage differences. I was one year older, and I am from an Asian household while he came from a very white background. He also had ADHD.
He cooked for me once during the entire time we were together. Even when he was living half the time with me, he never cooked once. I cooked for him often (2-3 days a week) to save some cash, and he did the dishes probably two or three times the entire time we were together. I tried to teach him how to cook a couple dishes he loved that I made him, but it never took. The lack of dish washing may also be because every time we ate, he'd say "I'll do them later" and I would want them done immediately. When I said I'd just do them now, he never contended. To be fair, he did eat out a lot more, but due to our wage differences, I'd feel bad about the amount of money he'd spend and I'd end up splitting with him or paying for the meal because, well, we needed to eat, I didn't want to cook again, and I can't be cooking for only myself. I felt that was too selfish.
I did his laundry whenever he left one or two things laying around, which was fine. Threw them in the wash, the dryer, then folded them for him. However, the one time I was stepping out to the gym and he stayed in to play games, I asked him to please unload the towels from the dryer and hang them up, since they are always a bit damp afterwards. There were about 6 items: two bathroom rugs and four towels, probably one or two more shirts. Very light load. I came back to the towels of course been hung, but bathroom rugs were still in the dryer! The laundry and dryer is literally inside my bathroom! He only had to toss them on the ground. The kicker of this was when I got home, I had hauled about 5kg of groceries back (15 minute walk on foot) and he said "I'll come help you" as he was gaming. I finished putting them away by the time he got on his feet and exclaimed, "wow you're really fast at putting things away!"
Once we were showering together for the first time at my place, and I saw him take 2 or 3 huge pumps of conditioner for his hair. I have longer hair and you only need at most, one pump. I didn't say much except for "You don't need that much conditioner?" He just replied "Oh, I didn't know". This got on my nerves so much even though it's petty, cause it's just such a waste! He never bought things for the new place or helped out with the cost of the things I bought!
I was always picking up dirty dishes around the house or watching him never clean things up or put things away to the trash.
We went travelling to Asia once. Since he came to see me after I'd been living in a city for school for a few months, he expected me to have all the travel itineraries set up and to have everything planned for us to do. He showed dissatisfaction at many of the foods that are popular in the country, and the cities we visited were far from the one I was at. Same pattern followed in the other country we visited. We lounged a lot, and my want to explore more was never really met with excitement. I admit I'm more of a follower, so not having his full enthusiasm did not make me pursue any other trip plans other than drink on the beach.
He sucked at sleeping. Constantly pulling at the covers, moving a lot, generally just not sleeping well. This bothered me a lot because I was the one going to work every morning, while he slept in. While we had a king size duvet for the queen size bed, it still wasn't enough for him. He'd pull and tug at the covers, get up in the morning and not realize a single thing. For someone that does not pay rent, I got easily irritated about this. He'd also come over on to my side every time, leaving me with no room to move.
While he had some physical ailments out of his control, it made me sad that I had to carry all the heavy stuff. I'm a smaller gal and while I do lift, I love having a guy being chivalrous and carrying things for me. This never really occurred, and I was more of the one doing the heavy lifting.
Due to my Asian descent, we were talking about the future and I mentioned that I would like my kids to know my native language. His first reaction was to get a bit upset, and say that he didn't want us talking about him behind his back! I was appalled. Later on he said he was joking and that he understood the value of knowing more than one language, but I couldn't help but think his initial reaction was genuine. I've also tried to encourage him to pick up on some common phrases, but that also never took and while he has expressed "sure that sounds great!" sentiments, he never pursued it any further.
He never bought me flowers. I wanted flowers, a lot. I love flowers. I have expressed to him that I wanted flowers. There were lots of holidays: valentines, anniversaries, birthdays. Never flowers. Whenever I'd ask him for flowers, he'd reply, "If you keep bringing it up, it won't be a surprise!"
Lots of "we can do this later" and it would never happen.
I loved him a lot, I really did. I put up with this for a year, and I brought it up in serious conversations 3 or 4 times. Nothing changed. When I came back from my last trip abroad, he picked me up, and I came to a clean apartment for the first time. I exclaimed, "wow, you even vacuumed!" and he had the galls to say "I'm so happy you noticed!" Maybe I'm a bit out of line here but it just rubbed me the wrong way. He was just a kid, and nothing was making him grow up. I mentioned that maybe before moving in together, he should live on his own for a bit to see what it's like, so I don't become a live-in mom. He thought it was a useless idea, and why would we do that? I didn't want to tell him that he was acting like a man-child, so I didn't. We'd already had this conversation before. I've already talked to him about the "mental load" too. He said he understood, but nothing changed. When we finally broke up, he packed up the few belongings he kept at my place. Another really petty thing was, his mother had gifted us a kitchen spatula a few months prior. That was the last thing he grabbed which I could only internally scoff at, since he doesn't even cook! I had also put a $300 down payment for his family's wedding. When I would no longer attend, he decided they'd transfer the down payment for another guest, without returning me the money while he and his new guest benefited from this. I only found out by coincidence, later. I just think he was just so full of himself and selfish and so aloof that he never really understood why I was always irritated and why I'd never want to have sex with him near the end of the relationship. We did enjoy some roughness but I don't think he ever understood foreplay at all, and that it hurt sometimes with 0 lubrication. Sometimes I almost thought he was a bit narcissistic, but who knows. He said sometimes I seemed like one. I'm pretty sure I'm not. Now the reason why this really bothers me is that I've found a really fantastic man who loves me, cooks for me, and listens when I say something is bothering me. But these past resentments still keep popping up in my head! Whenever I'm doing something and there's a random trigger, it pops up and while I try not to let it ruin my day, it still bothers me that he keeps popping up. I wish it would just stop, and maybe I just need some time, but I literally don't want to complain to any of my friends cause it's just dumb and I don't want to keep talking about it and I obviously don't want to share these things with my current guy. Anyways, that's kind of what I need to get off my chest. Thanks for listening.
